Ran the Park Run today. Thing is I forgot my barcode. Doh. DFYBC! I ran the race anyway and put my token in the bucket for 'if you don't want your time recorded'. I timed my run at 21:47 which is 5 seconds faster than last week but 27 seconds slower than my PB of two weeks ago. Ah well. The conditions were back to normal for Park Run and the headwind on the first 2km was strong. Bumped into Rachel before the race and when I told her I forgot my barcode she said, "it's not PB conditions anyway'. She was right.
Kata and I signed up for The Beast race in Dorset.

I have to admit that during the Park Run, between 3km and 4.5km, I wasn't really in the moment and my mind wandered to the The Beast. It's a half marathon distance but it sounds like a trail race. Runners World describes it thus;
"This is no ordinary half marathon. In fact, having navigated rocky tracks, flights of steps, stiles, and muddy fields you'll feel like you've run a lot further than 13.1 miles: veterans of the event consider this to be character building. The scenery around Dorfe Castle is wondrous and the finishers T-shirt is a cracker".
So yeah, I'm doing it for the cracking t-shirt! Must keep training and eating right to make sure the size M fits!!!
